Some folks actually "believe" promises, sir . . . especially when they pertain to the "greatest job in the world."
Given the choice between rising star Barack Obama and prehistoric challenger John McCain, the choice was relatively easy. We believed in what candidate Barack was telling us — and gave him his shot.
By then President Bush's "Great recession" had taken firm hold, and we thought the economic meltdown would become the first order of business, given the massive bailout just released.
Instead, the President-elect fired up his political steamroller, ramming through a dubious health-care plan which does little to address the major issues of skyrocketing, obscene medical costs, among others.
